Student Council

The main objective of the election was the formation of student council and to inculcate the values of Democracy in students. Student council gives the opportunity to foster skills like leadership, communication, teamwork organisation and public speaking. The student council serves as the student representative body. It initiate and direct student activities, helps share students’ ideas interest and concerns. The student council functions with overall intention of promoting the development of the school and the welfare of its students. The election was held on the 12th of August, at the beginning of the academic year. A sort of democratic training was offered to the interested students at our college level to teach them how to become good citizens and shoulder responsibilities. Our college principal issued notice to file the nomination for the class representative, cultural representative, sport representative, financial representative, DLLE representative and the general secretary which selected among all representatives on the date 09th August. After that the interested candidates file the nomination in Principal office.

After the scrutiny of nomination forms it is concluded that only sport representative has two nominations of all the representative nominations hence for the sport representative election is declared. The students nominated for representative visited all the classrooms and halls to request other student to vote in their favour. The contestants were allowed to explain the purpose of their candidature. The teaching and non-teaching staff of our college were appointed as the election officers, polling officers by making the different committees. The participants student gives one student as the polling agents for voting. They give the ballot paper to voter student after checking their ID card. The voter student gives vote to the favourite candidate, after that they folded the papers and inserted it into the ballot box. After the compilation of voting the ballot box gets sealed by election officers. On the occasion of India's 75th Independence Day, the results of the college elections were announced, in which all the elected class representatives were felicitated, and the general secretary of the college was felicitated by tying a Marathi feta. All the elected class representatives were wished good luck for their future endeavours.
